These were even better than the ones the hospital provided. A must for postpartum c section recovery. These go much higher on the waist so it won't irritate the surgery incision.
I'm gonna tell you something here and hear me out. Just buy these damn underwear, why are you even reading reviews?!. I'm in love. I texted my bestie the minute I put these on. I insisted she buy them too. They are so soft, cover everything, zero wedgies, hide under leggings, breathe well, covered my weird post pregnancy belly without harsh criticism, I feel like I finally found THE panties. Husband likes them too. They also don't look like crap after washing a bunch and none of the packages I ordered had any defects. I hope merchant comes out with more colors later on, for now I just bouggg a few packages of black and threw away all my other underwear. This is all there is now.
When I searched Amazon for my regular brand panties, Amazon cleverly directed me to their Basics brand, so I decided to give them a try. I am really glad that I did! I think I have a new favorite panty!
When I received them, I had to double check the fabric contents to confirm that they're cotton. That 5% of elastane makes them look and feel much more like nylon/spandex and they don't have the slight bulk you get with 100% cotton. They are thin, a bit silky, very stretchy, and although they are 95% cotton, they add virtually zero thickness under your clothing. They fit perfectly, do not ride up, and are very comfortable.
Just what I needed and wanted. Just like the hospital. These things save my life after a c section. I will definitely buy more. I am a size s-m normally. I normally weigh about 135-140 lbs before pregnancy and these fit perfect. They are stretchy and come up high. It's great so they don't rest or rub on my incision.
I used these post-operatively after surgery that resulted in a significant perineal wound.Fit and comfort:I am 6'1", ~195 LBS, Size 34/5 waist. I ordered the XL, despite the fact that the size guidelines suggested they would too small (XL Flat 13' Stretch to 32' ). They fit great, easily stretching to accommodate my waist size. Since they were technically slightly undersized, they had more tension than the hospital-issued underwear, which provided nearly zero-tension against my waist. Some people may prefer no tension but I found the tension useful to help hold dressings in place, etc. See the comparison in the photo to the hospital-issued underwear. The legs tend to "ride up" after wearing them so if you want longer legs you may need the bigger size.Quality:Excellent. Could easily use these > 5 times, perhaps longer. I put them through the "delicate" cycle in a top loading old school agitator washing machine and they held up just as well or better than the hospital-issued garments.Ove
